Please read carefully

These Terms contain a binding arbitration provision and a class action waiver in Section 18. These affect your legal rights, including your right to file a lawsuit in court and to participate in a class action. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days as described in Section 18.7.

LexInsight is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Using LexInsight does not create an attorney-client relationship. Section 3 explains this in detail and is a material term of this agreement.

---

1. Agreement to terms

1.1 Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding contract between you ("you," "your," or "Customer") and LexInsight ("LexInsight," "we," "us," or "our").

By using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1.2 Incorporated documents

These Terms incorporate the Privacy Policy, the Legal Disclaimer, the Acceptable Use Policy, the Refund Policy, and the Cookie Notice.

Where these Terms conflict with an incorporated document, these Terms control, except that the Privacy Policy controls on matters of personal-information handling, and the Legal Disclaimer controls on the nature and limits of the service.

1.3 Electronic contracting

You agree to receive these Terms and related notices electronically. Your acceptance at checkout is recorded with the version of the documents you agreed to.

2. The service

2.1 Description

LexInsight accepts the documents and intake context you provide, analyzes them with automated systems, and delivers a generated report through a secure link. The scope of a report is set by the tier you purchase.

2.2 What the service is not

The service is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not create an attorney-client relationship. Section 3 states this in full.

2.3 Artificial intelligence disclosure

Reports are generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence, including third-party large language models. You acknowledge that:

(a) AI systems can produce output that is incorrect, incomplete, internally inconsistent, or fabricated, including references to authorities, statutes, cases, or market data that do not exist or do not say what the output claims;

(b) AI output is probabilistic, not deterministic; identical or similar inputs may produce materially different reports;

(c) analysis reflects patterns in training data and may not reflect current law, recent legislative or judicial developments, local rules, collective bargaining agreements, plan documents, or your employer's actual practices;

(d) clause classifications such as "standard," "negotiable," "action required," or "favorable" are heuristic characterizations, not legal conclusions, and reasonable attorneys could classify the same clause differently;

(e) for eligible higher tiers, wage context and short examples from public filings come from a curated source set that we check for internal consistency and provenance before it is used. They are not a live lookup performed on your document. Source data can be incomplete, may not describe your employer, and is not legal advice. A filed agreement is not a standard, not a recommendation, and not a conclusion about your agreement;

(f) the service does not read documents you do not upload, does not know facts you do not disclose, and cannot reliably detect what is missing from your document;

(g) you are solely responsible for independently verifying every statement in a report before relying on it, and the appropriate method of verification is consultation with a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.

2.4 No human attorney reviews your report

No attorney reviews your documents or your report. Reports are produced and delivered automatically.

2.5 Scope limits

The service does not track deadlines, does not negotiate, does not communicate with your employer, and does not represent you.

2.6 Delivery

We deliver your report through a secure link sent to the email address on the order. Delivery times are targets, not guarantees. The link works for 14 days and can be used more than once. We offer one re-issued link if your report is still inside its retention window.

2.7 No account; email-based access

There are no user accounts. Access to a report depends on the secure link and the email address used for the order. Keep that link confidential; anyone who has it can open the report while it is valid.

2.8 Changes to the service

We may change, add to, or remove features. We may retire a tier. A change does not alter the terms that applied to an order you already placed.

3. No legal advice; no attorney-client relationship

3.1 LexInsight is not a law firm

LexInsight is not a law firm, and it does not practice law.

3.2 No attorney-client relationship is formed

Neither your use of the service, nor any communication with us, creates an attorney-client relationship. Reports are AI-generated informational analysis.

3.3 No privilege; no confidentiality protections of the client-lawyer relationship

Communications you send through the service are not protected by attorney-client privilege or by the professional duty of confidentiality that a lawyer owes a client. If you need that protection, speak to a licensed attorney directly, and do not send the material to us.

3.4 Conflicts of interest are not checked

We do not run conflicts checks, because we are not providing legal representation.

3.5 Relationship to any law practice

LexInsight is a software service, separate from any law practice. Your use of the service creates no relationship with any attorney or firm.

3.6 Acknowledgment

You acknowledge that you have read this Section 3, that you understand it, and that it is a material term of this agreement.

4. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to use the service. You must be submitting your own documents, or documents you are authorized to submit as someone's representative. LexInsight is intended for users in the United States. If you use it from another country, you are responsible for your own local law. Section 1 of the Acceptable Use Policy states these limits in full.

5. Your submissions

5.1 Definition

"Customer Materials" means the documents you upload and the intake information you provide.

5.2 Your representations and warranties

You represent and warrant that:

• you have the right to submit every document you upload;
• you have redacted Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, and government identification numbers;
• your submission does not violate any agreement you have with someone else, and does not violate the law;
• the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

5.3 License you grant us

You grant us a limited license to process Customer Materials for the purpose of producing and delivering your report, keeping the records described in the Privacy Policy, and operating and protecting the service. That license ends when we delete the material under the retention schedule.

5.4 No model training

We do not use your documents, intake responses, or reports to train, fine-tune, or evaluate AI models, and we require our providers not to do so. We test and improve the service with synthetic documents and public-source records, not with customer documents.

5.5 Ownership of customer materials

You keep your rights in Customer Materials. We claim no ownership of them.

6. Reports and intellectual property

6.1 License to your report

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the report we deliver for your own purposes. You may share it with your own attorney.

6.2 Restrictions

You may not resell a report, publish it as legal advice, present it as the work product of a lawyer, or use it to provide a professional service to someone else.

6.3 Our intellectual property

The service, its software, its prompts, its source data, and its output templates belong to LexInsight or its licensors.

6.4 Non-uniqueness of output

Automated analysis of similar documents can produce similar output. We do not promise that a report is unique to you.

6.5 Feedback

If you send us feedback, we may use it without restriction or obligation.

7. Fees, payment, and taxes

7.1 Pricing

Prices are shown at checkout before you pay. The price shown for a tier is the price for that tier.

7.2 Payment processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. A completed payment is what authorizes us to begin processing; a browser success message alone does not.

7.3 One-time charges

Each order is a one-time charge. We do not create a subscription.

7.4 Taxes

You are responsible for any tax that applies to your purchase. We do not add automatic tax adjustments or fee reimbursements to a refund; if a refund raises a tax question, contact us and we will work through it with you.

7.5 Chargebacks

Please contact us before disputing a charge. Section 6 of the Refund Policy explains what happens if you do.

8. Refunds and cancellation

The Refund Policy is part of these Terms. In summary:

• Cancellation before processing. Contact us immediately and we cancel and refund in full. This window is often only a few minutes.
• Full refund on technical non-delivery. If we cannot complete your review for technical reasons, or your report is never delivered, you receive a full refund.
• Wrong tier before processing. Contact us before processing begins and we cancel and refund in full so you can order the correct tier.
• Wrong tier after processing starts. This is reviewed as a support remedy, not an automatic full refund: a correction where the report has not yet been generated, or a partial refund that reflects the difference between what you paid and what was supplied.
• After delivery. Requests are reviewed by a person within 30 days of delivery. Where a section your tier included could not be supplied, the usual outcome is a correction or a partial refund that reflects the missing section. Refunds after delivery are not automatic.
• Statutory rights. Nothing in these Terms or the Refund Policy limits a right that cannot be waived under the law of your state or country of residence.

9. Acceptable use

The Acceptable Use Policy is part of these Terms. It sets out who may use the service, what you must redact, what is prohibited, and how to report a security issue in good faith.

10. Third-party services and content

We use third parties to run the service. The types of provider we use, and what each one handles, are described in Section 5.1 of the Privacy Policy. We do not control a third party's own terms, and where a provider acts for its own purposes, its terms apply to that processing. Reports may reference public filings and other public sources; we do not control those sources.

11. Privacy and security

Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect, how long we keep it, and who processes it. Uploads go to a private storage bucket with no public access. Files are encrypted in transit and at rest by our infrastructure providers, and downloads use short-lived signed links.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE AND EVERY REPORT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT A REPORT IS COMPLETE, ACCURATE, CURRENT, OR ENFORCEABLE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

13. Assumption of risk and no reliance

YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK. YOU AGREE THAT YOU ARE NOT RELYING ON ANY STATEMENT IN A REPORT AS LEGAL ADVICE, AND THAT YOU WILL CONSULT A LICENSED ATTORNEY IN YOUR JURISDICTION BEFORE ACTING ON IT.

14. Limitation of liability

14.1 Exclusion of damages

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST OPPORTUNITY, OR LOST DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE.

14.2 Aggregate cap

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID TO LEXINSIGHT IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100).

14.3 Free tier

FOR THE FREE PREVIEW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED TWENTY-FIVE U.S. DOLLARS (US$25).

14.4 Independent allocation

The limits in this Section 14 apply independently of any other limit, and survive a failure of essential purpose.

14.5 Exceptions

Nothing in this Section 14 limits a liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including for fraud or for a right that consumer law does not allow to be waived.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold LexInsight harmless from a claim brought by a third party that arises from your Customer Materials, your violation of the Acceptable Use Policy, or your violation of these Terms. We will tell you about the claim and let you participate in the defense.

16. Term, suspension, and termination

These Terms apply from your first use of the service. We may suspend or refuse service if you violate the Acceptable Use Policy, if we are required to, or if we cannot safely operate. Sections 3, 5, 6, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, and 20 survive termination.

17. Governing law and venue

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or the service are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and excluding the U.N. Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Subject to Section 18, the exclusive venue for any dispute not subject to arbitration is the state and federal courts located in Providence County, Rhode Island, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there and waive any objection based on inconvenient forum. Nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your state or country of habitual residence.

18. Dispute resolution — arbitration and class waiver

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

18.1 Informal resolution first

Before starting arbitration or any proceeding, you agree to send a written Notice of Dispute to info@lexinsight.co, describing the dispute, the relief you seek, and your contact and order information. We will send a Notice of Dispute to your email of record. The parties will attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute for sixty (60) days before arbitration begins. This is a condition precedent, and any limitations period is tolled during it.

18.2 Agreement to arbitrate

Except as stated in Section 18.4, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the site, the service, any report, or the relationship between you and LexInsight, including disputes about the formation, scope, enforceability, or arbitrability of this section, will be resolved exclusively by final and binding individual arbitration, and not in court. The Federal Arbitration Act, 9 U.S.C. § 1 *et seq.*, governs this section. You and LexInsight are each waiving the right to a trial by jury and to participate in a class action.

18.3 Arbitration procedure

Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect, as modified by these Terms. If AAA is unavailable or declines, the parties will agree on an alternative administrator, or a court will appoint one. A single neutral arbitrator will conduct the arbitration, seated in Providence County, Rhode Island, provided that you may elect to conduct it by telephone, videoconference, or on documents only, or in the county of your residence. The arbitrator may award any relief available in an individual court action, including statutory attorneys' fees where authorized. The award is final and binding, and judgment may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

18.4 Exceptions

This section does not apply to: (a) claims that qualify for small claims court in a court of competent jurisdiction, brought on an individual basis; (b) claims for injunctive or equitable relief about intellectual property or unauthorized access, which may be brought in the courts identified in Section 17; and (c) any claim that applicable law does not allow to be arbitrated.

18.5 Class action waiver

ARBITRATION AND ANY COURT PROCEEDING WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. YOU AND LEXINSIGHT WAIVE THE RIGHT TO BRING OR PARTICIPATE IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, MASS, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION, OR TO ACT AS A PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL, EXCEPT WHERE SUCH A WAIVER IS PROHIBITED BY LAW. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over a class or representative proceeding. If this Section 18.5 is found unenforceable as to a particular claim or request for relief, that claim or request will be severed and litigated in the courts identified in Section 17, and the rest of this Section 18 remains in force.

18.6 Batch arbitration

If twenty-five (25) or more similar claims are asserted against LexInsight by or with the assistance of the same or coordinated counsel, the parties will cooperate with AAA to batch those claims into groups of no more than fifty (50), with a single arbitrator and a single set of fees per batch, and to stay the remaining claims while an initial batch is resolved.

18.7 Your right to opt out

You may opt out of this Section 18 by sending written notice within thirty (30) days of first accepting these Terms to info@lexinsight.co, stating your name, the email address used for the order, and an unambiguous statement that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms and does not affect your ability to use the service. If you opt out, Section 17 governs.

18.8 Limitations period

To the extent permitted by law, any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service must be started within one (1) year after the claim accrues, or it is permanently barred.

18.9 Changes to this section

If we materially amend this Section 18 after your acceptance, the amendment does not apply to a claim of which we had actual notice on the date of amendment, and you may reject the amendment by written notice within thirty (30) days.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. If we make a material change, we update the effective date and note the change on the legal changelog. A change applies to a new order placed after the change. It does not alter the terms that applied when you placed an earlier order.

20. General

20.1 Entire agreement

These Terms and the incorporated documents are the entire agreement between you and LexInsight about the service.

20.2 Severability

If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest of these Terms remain in force, and the unenforceable provision is limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary.

20.3 No waiver

If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver of it.

20.4 Assignment

You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them to an affiliate or to a successor.

20.5 No agency

Nothing here creates a partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship.

20.6 Force majeure

We are not liable for a delay caused by something outside our reasonable control.

20.7 Notices

We send notices to the email address on your order. You send notices to info@lexinsight.co.

20.8 Interpretation

Headings are for navigation only. "Including" means "including without limitation."

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what LexInsight collects, why, how long we keep it, and who processes it.

1.1 The short version

• We collect what you type into the order flow, the documents you upload, and basic technical data.
• We use your documents to produce your report. We do not sell them.
• We keep your order, including your documents and report, until 90 days after your payment date, then delete them. We email you a reminder before we do. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
• We do not use your documents to train AI models.
• We use a small number of service providers to run the service. Section 5.1 describes what each type of provider handles.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

• your name and email address;
• your order details, including the review type and tier you choose;
• your intake responses, such as role, employer, work location, and document type;
• the documents you upload.

2.2 What your documents may contain

Employment and compensation documents often name people and describe pay, equity, and separation terms. They may also contain identifiers we do not want, such as Social Security numbers. Please redact those before uploading. See Section 2 of the Acceptable Use Policy.

2.3 Payment information we do not see

Payment details are entered with Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. Stripe processes payment data for its own compliance and fraud-prevention purposes under its own terms.

2.4 Information collected automatically

We record basic technical data when you use the service: IP address, browser type, and error events. We do not enrich your record with purchased profiles, social media data, or people-search data, and we do not collect location information derived from your IP address.

2.5 Information from other sources

We do not buy or license personal information about you from data brokers.

2.6 Children

LexInsight is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

3. How we use information

3.1 Purposes

• to produce and deliver your report, and to remind you before we delete it;
• to take payment and keep the transaction record;
• to respond when you contact us;
• to detect and fix faults, and to protect the service from abuse;
• to measure, in aggregate, whether the service works. Page-view measurement

carries no identifier and sets no cookie. A completed order records operational stage counts under a keyed, non-reversible reference to the order, so we can tell a genuine second event from a retry. Those stage rows are order-linked, pseudonymous records, not anonymous data, and they follow the deletion of the order.

3.2 Automated processing and AI

Your documents are analyzed by automated systems, including artificial intelligence. No attorney performs or reviews that work.

We do not use your documents, intake responses, or reports to train, fine-tune, or evaluate AI models, and we require our providers not to do so. Separately, our provider may process submitted content for a limited period to deliver the response and to support its safety and abuse-monitoring duties. That processing is storage, not training.

We test and improve the service with synthetic documents and public-source records, not with customer documents.

For Executive and C-Suite / Board reports, the AI model that writes your report also picks the published occupation that best matches your role, so the report can show published pay data for it. Our application first shortlists up to 15 occupations from public U.S. Department of Labor records, using the job title you enter, the description of your responsibilities if you enter one, and the role description in your documents. The model may only choose from that shortlist, or choose none. It does not look anything up, and this step sends no document text beyond what the report already uses. The pay figures come from published U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data and are selected by our application, not by the model.

If the model chooses none, or is not confident, the report shows no occupation pay data. If its choice cannot be checked against your documents, our application may instead compare the job title you enter with the official occupation titles in those public records, and uses an occupation only when your title names exactly one. That comparison runs inside our application, and the report says when an occupation was matched from your job title.

3.3 Sensitive personal information

We do not ask for your race, ethnicity, religion, health information, sexual orientation, or immigration status, and we do not use the service to infer any of them. If a document you upload contains that kind of information, we hold it as part of your document and delete it on the schedule in Section 6.

4. Cookies and tracking

We use two strictly necessary cookies and no others. The Cookie Notice lists them, along with the session storage used during an order and Stripe's checkout page. We do not run advertising cookies, and we do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking scripts.

5. How we disclose information

5.1 Service providers

We share information with a small number of service providers that run LexInsight for us. Each one receives only what its role needs:

• Hosting and storage. Hosts the website and order flow, and keeps your order in a private database and private file storage. It handles uploaded documents, intake responses, report records, report access tokens, and technical request data such as IP address.
• AI model provider. Analyzes your documents to produce the report, and, for Executive and C-Suite / Board reports, picks the published occupation closest to your role from our application's shortlist. It handles document text and the intake context the analysis needs, including the job title and any description of your responsibilities you enter.
• Document rendering. Turns your report into a downloadable PDF. It handles report content at the point of rendering.
• Email delivery. Sends transactional email, such as the report-ready message and deletion reminders. It handles your email address and the message content, which includes your report link.
• Payment processor (Stripe). Takes payment on its own checkout page. It handles billing identifiers and transaction data. Stripe also processes payment data for its own compliance and fraud-prevention purposes under its own terms.

Your uploaded documents are kept in private storage with no public access. Document analysis and report generation are performed by automated systems, and no attorney performs or reviews that work. We do not receive or store your full card number.

If we add a type of provider that handles uploaded documents, we will update this section before we do, and note the change on the legal changelog.

5.2 Other disclosures

We may disclose information where the law requires it, where we need to establish or defend a legal claim, or to protect someone's safety. Where we are legally able to tell you about a compelled disclosure, we will.

5.3 What we do not do

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or share it for advertising. We do not share your documents with anyone except the providers that process them for us and any recipient you direct us to.

6. Retention and deletion

Your order. We keep your uploaded documents, the extracted text stored with your order record, your report, and its published evidence until 90 days after your payment date. Then we delete them from active systems and revoke access. You can ask us to delete them sooner.

Deletion reminders. If your report was delivered, we email the address used for the order seven days before the deletion date, and again during the last day before it unless the first reminder was sent within the previous two days. Each reminder carries a new report link that stops working at the deletion time. A reminder never postpones deletion.

Working files. Separately from your order record, we keep the working files created while your report is being processed, such as raw, normalized, sanitized, and validated artifacts and render intermediates, for seven days, or until your order record is deleted, whichever comes first.

Abandoned orders. If you start an order and do not complete payment, we delete the intake and any uploaded files seven days after they were created.

Access links. A report link works for 14 days and can be used more than once. A report session lasts 24 hours after you open the link. Each file download uses a signed link that expires after five minutes. These are different periods for different things.

Transaction records. We keep a minimal transaction and assent record for seven years. It holds what was bought, when, and what you agreed to. It does not hold your documents, your report, or your intake answers.

Funnel counts. We keep aggregate counts of how far an order progressed, such as a confirmed payment or a delivered report. A count that belongs to an order is stored under a keyed, non-reversible reference to that order, not under the order number. These rows are deleted within 30 days. Page-view measurement carries no identifier and is not linked to an order.

Deletion requests. We keep a minimal record of a completed deletion request for three years, so we can show the request was handled. That record is not a copy of the deleted content.

Backups. Deletion applies to active systems when the deletion job runs. Backup copies age out under our provider's rotation schedule.

6.1 Legal holds

If we are required to keep specific data, for example because of a legal claim or a lawful instruction, we pause deletion for that data and keep a record of why. A hold is a recorded instruction with a scope and an owner, and it is reviewed periodically. It is not inferred from anything a report says.

6.2 Early deletion on request

You can ask for earlier deletion at any time. To protect you, we first confirm that you control the email address used for the order and that the order details match. Holding a forwarded report link is not enough on its own, because a forwarded link does not show who ordered the review. Once confirmed, we revoke access and delete the private material on the schedule above. If a legal hold applies, we tell you that we cannot delete that data and why.

7. Security

Uploads go to a private storage bucket with no public access. Files are encrypted in transit and at rest by our infrastructure providers, and downloads use short-lived signed links. Access to production data is limited to the team that operates the service.

No system is perfectly secure. We cannot promise that unauthorized access will never happen. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

8. Your privacy rights

8.1 Rights available to everyone

You can ask us to:

• tell you what we hold about you;
• correct something that is wrong;
• export a copy;
• delete your information, subject to Section 6.

Contact info@lexinsight.co. We respond to requests as the applicable law requires. We may need to confirm that you control the email address associated with the order before we act.

8.2 California residents

If you live in California, you may have rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right to know, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a right.

8.3 Other U.S. state residents

Several other states give residents rights over their personal data, including rights to access, delete, correct, and obtain a copy. Contact us to make a request, and we will handle it as the applicable law requires.

8.4 Nevada residents

We do not sell covered information as defined by Nevada law. You may still submit a request to info@lexinsight.co.

8.5 Users outside the United States

LexInsight is intended for users in the United States. If you use it from another country, you are responsible for your own local law. Contact us before using the service if you need to understand how your local law applies.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that affects what we collect or how long we keep it, we update the effective date and note the change on the legal changelog.

The headline

LexInsight is not a law firm, and it does not provide legal advice.

LexInsight produces automated, AI-assisted analysis of the documents you upload. It is informational and analytical. It is not a legal opinion, and it does not create an attorney-client relationship.

---

1. What LexInsight is

LexInsight is a document analysis service. You upload employment or compensation documents, choose a review type and tier, and receive a generated report that identifies provisions, discussion points, and questions worth raising.

2. What LexInsight is not

• It is not a law firm, and it does not practice law.
• It does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or representation.
• It does not create an attorney-client relationship, or any duty of confidentiality that attaches to that relationship.
• It does not review your documents for the purpose of advising you on a legal matter.
• It does not appear for you, negotiate for you, or communicate with any employer on your behalf.
• It does not track deadlines.

3. No attorney-client relationship

Your use of LexInsight does not create an attorney-client relationship. Communications you send through the service are not protected by attorney-client privilege or by the professional duty of confidentiality that a lawyer owes a client. Do not send information you would only send to your own lawyer.

If you are already represented by an attorney, speak with that attorney before uploading documents. Sending documents to a third party can affect privilege.

4. Relationship to any law practice

LexInsight is a software service. It is separate from any law practice, and nothing in your use of the service creates a relationship with any attorney or firm.

5. AI-generated output — read this

Reports are generated by automated systems, including artificial intelligence. Automated analysis can be incomplete, can misread a document, can miss a provision, and can state something that is not in your document. Treat every statement in a report as a starting point for your own review, not as a conclusion.

The report may include occupational wage context and short examples drawn from public-company filings for eligible tiers. Those materials come from a curated source set that is checked for internal consistency and provenance before it is used, and they are not a live lookup performed on your document. Source data can be incomplete, may not describe your employer, and is not legal advice. A filed agreement is not a standard, not a recommendation, and not a conclusion about your own agreement.

6. No human attorney reviews your report

No attorney reviews your documents or your report. Reports are produced and delivered automatically.

7. No warranty; no guarantee of accuracy

LexInsight makes no representation or warranty about the completeness, accuracy, or enforceability of any analysis, and no warranty that a report is fit for any particular purpose. Laws differ between jurisdictions and change over time.

8. Deadlines are your responsibility

Employment, severance, and compensation matters carry deadlines. A severance agreement may include a revocation period. An administrative charge may have a filing window. LexInsight does not track deadlines, does not know your deadlines, and does not extend any deadline. Ordering a report does not pause or extend one. If you are working against a deadline, speak to a licensed attorney now.

9. Jurisdiction-specific content

State and federal law differ, and general context about one state may not describe another. A report may describe a general legal framework for the jurisdiction you identified. It does not determine which law applies to you, and it does not apply that law to your facts.

10. What to do with your report

Use the report to prepare. Take it, your documents, and your questions to a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction. An attorney can evaluate your specific facts, the law that applies to you, and your options.

Site footer, every page:

LexInsight is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Reports are AI-generated informational analysis. Use of this site does not create an attorney-client relationship and your submissions are not protected by attorney-client privilege. Consult a licensed attorney before acting on any report.

Report cover page, above the fold:

NOT LEGAL ADVICE. This report was generated by automated systems, including artificial intelligence. No attorney reviewed it. It may contain errors, omissions, or statements that do not appear in your document. It is not a legal opinion and does not create an attorney-client relationship. Nothing in it is protected by attorney-client privilege. Verify every statement with a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction before acting. Employment and severance matters carry deadlines that LexInsight does not track.

1. Who may use the service

You may use LexInsight if you are 18 or older and you are submitting your own documents, or documents you are authorized to submit as someone's representative.

LexInsight is intended for users in the United States. If you use it from another country, you are responsible for your own local law.

Do not use LexInsight to obtain advice about another person's legal matter, on behalf of an employer, or as part of a professional service you provide to someone else.

2. Document submission rules

Before you upload, redact:

• Social Security numbers;
• financial account numbers;
• government identification numbers;
• the same identifiers for any other person named in the document.

The analysis does not use these numbers, and we do not want them. Uploading them increases the harm if anything goes wrong.

Upload only documents you have the right to share. Some agreements restrict disclosure of their own terms. Check yours before you upload it.

If you are already working with an attorney, talk to that attorney first. Sending documents to a third party can affect attorney-client privilege.

Use an email address you control. A work address may be accessible to your employer, and the report link is the access control for your report.

3. Prohibited conduct

Do not:

• upload documents you are not authorized to submit;
• use the service to break the law, or to help someone else break the law;
• attempt to access another person's order, report, or link;
• probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service except as permitted in Section 4;
• interfere with the service, including by flooding it, scraping it, or automating access in a way that degrades it for others;
• reverse engineer the service, or extract its prompts, internal source data, or model configuration;
• resell, sublicense, or provide the service to a third party as your own;
• present a report as legal advice, or as the work product of a lawyer;
• misrepresent a report as reviewed, approved, or certified by an attorney.

4. Responsible security disclosure

We welcome good-faith security reports, and this section is a safe harbor for that work.

Authorized testing, limited to the boundaries below:

• test only against accounts, orders, and documents you created yourself;
• do not access, modify, or retain another person's data;
• do not degrade the service, or run denial-of-service, load, or automated scanning tools;
• do not use social engineering against our team or any vendor;
• give us a reasonable time to fix an issue before you disclose it publicly.

We do not run a bug bounty program, and we do not promise payment for a report.

Report a suspected vulnerability through the vulnerability disclosure page. Do not open a public issue, and do not post details publicly before we have had a chance to respond.

5. Enforcement

If you violate this policy, we may refuse service, cancel a pending order, withhold delivery, revoke report access, and report the conduct where the law requires it. Where a payment has already been made and delivery has not occurred, the Refund Policy applies.

6. Reporting violations

Report a violation of this policy to info@lexinsight.co.

7. Copyright — DMCA notice and takedown

If you believe content on the service infringes your copyright, send a notice to info@lexinsight.co that includes:

• identification of the copyrighted work;
• identification of the material you say is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it;
• your name, address, telephone number, and email address;
• a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized;
• a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner;
• your physical or electronic signature.

We review notices we receive and take the action we consider appropriate.

1. What we use

LexInsight uses two cookies and two items of session storage, and all of them are strictly necessary. We do not use advertising, analytics or personalization cookies, and we do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking scripts. Browsing our pages without starting an order stores nothing in your browser.

2. Cookies

Cookie	Purpose	Set when	Lasts
`lexinsight_order_access`	Keeps your order attached to your browser through upload and checkout	You submit the intake form	7 days
`lexinsight_report_session`	Keeps your report open after you use your report link	You open a report link	24 hours

Both cookies are set by LexInsight and sent only to LexInsight, over an encrypted connection. Scripts on the page cannot read them.

3. Session storage

While you place an order, your browser's session storage holds the order details you entered (`lexinsight.orderContext.v1`) and the list of documents you uploaded (`lexinsight.uploadDocuments.v1`), so each step can show them. Session storage stays in your browser and is cleared when you close the tab.

4. Other sites

Payment happens on Stripe's checkout page. Stripe sets its own cookies there under its own privacy policy. Our pages do not load Stripe's scripts, and they load their fonts from LexInsight, not from a font service.

5. Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking them will break the order and report flow, because they keep your own order and report attached to you. Blocking them does not reduce what we store about a completed order.

We do not operate a preference, personalization or advertising category, so there is nothing to switch on or off in a consent banner.

6. Changes

If we add a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will update this notice and its effective date before that cookie is set.

This Refund Policy is part of the Terms of Service. It is published separately so it is easy to find, and it is linked from checkout.

1. The nature of what you are buying

Each order is a digital product generated for the documents you submit and delivered through a secure link. Once analysis begins, the work is substantially done. Sales are final except as set out below.

Before you pay, the checkout page states which sections your chosen tier includes. Read that list. If a section is described as included for your tier and we do not supply it, the remedies in Section 3 apply.

2. When you receive a full refund

We refund in full, without a case-by-case review, when:

• We cannot complete your review for technical reasons. This covers a processing failure, a system error, or a determination that your documents cannot be analyzed, such as illegible scans, encrypted files, corrupted files, or an unsupported language.
• Your report is never delivered and the failure is on our side.
• You cancel before processing begins. Contact info@lexinsight.co immediately. This window is often only a few minutes.
• You were charged more than once for the same order, or charged in error.
• You purchased the wrong tier and contact us before processing begins. We cancel and refund in full so you can order the correct tier.

A refund is issued to the original payment method. We do not control how quickly your bank or card issuer posts it. Expect several business days, and allow longer for some issuers. We do not add automatic fee reimbursements or tax adjustments; if a refund raises a tax question, contact us and we will work through it with you.

3. When we review a remedy

Once a report has been delivered, we review a request case by case. Start within 30 days of delivery by contacting info@lexinsight.co with your order reference and what went wrong. We aim to respond within three business days.

If you purchased the wrong tier and processing has already started, we do not treat it as an automatic full refund. We review it as a support remedy: a correction where the report has not yet been generated, or a partial refund that reflects the difference between what you paid and what was supplied.

We treat these as strong reasons for a remedy:

• the report is materially non-responsive to the documents you submitted;
• the report is missing a section that the checkout page listed as included for your tier;
• there was a substantial delivery delay and we did not tell you about it.

Where a section you paid for could not be supplied, the usual outcome is a correction or a partial refund that reflects the missing section. We do not apply the full purchase price as a standard remedy for one missing optional section, because the report you received still includes the rest of what your tier provides. We do not issue refunds automatically; a person reviews the request.

4. When we do not refund

• You disagree with the analysis, tone, length, or conclusions of a report.
• The report did not tell you what you hoped to hear.
• A negotiation did not go the way you wanted, or an employer declined to change terms.
• An attorney disagreed with something in the report. This is expected. The report is not legal advice, and an attorney's judgment supersedes it.
• You did not download your report before the link expired and the retention period had passed.
• You violated the Terms of Service or the Acceptable Use Policy.
• You uploaded documents you were not authorized to submit.
• You are dissatisfied with the free Preview, which costs nothing and has nothing to refund.

5. Upgrades and downgrades

Change tiers freely before checkout. After payment, contact us and we will apply the price difference toward an upgrade where the report has not yet been generated. A downgrade after payment is handled as a support-reviewed partial refund, not an automatic one.

6. Chargebacks

Please contact us before disputing a charge. Most issues resolve faster directly, and a chargeback usually takes longer than asking us. If you initiate a chargeback, we may suspend delivery, revoke report access, and respond to the dispute with our records.

7. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits a right that cannot be waived under the law of your state or country of residence.
